Canada has arrested a 27-year-old man in Toronto city for targeting pro-Palestine demonstrators with a nail gun.

Around 100 activists were protesting “against the illegal selling of Palestinian land” near a synagogue where an Israeli real estate group and several construction companies were advising Jewish groups interested in buying land and making aliyah [moving to land grabbed from Palestinians].

According to protesters, such auctions, which often include stolen land located in the occupied West bank “further the forced displacement of Palestinians”.
The Canadian police said the man was charged with assault, assault with a weapon, possessing a weapon dangerous to the public and mischief.

A pro-Israel counter-protest was organised in front of the pro-Palestine group.

According to the Toronto Star, the gathering was promoted by the former Canadian leader of the far-right terrorist group Jewish Defense League, according to the FBI’s terror list
